Watles, the Family-Friendly Ski Area in South Tyrol

Extensive ski slopes and a stunning mountain panorama make the Watles an ideal ski area for the entire family with over 18 km of ski slopes, suitable for beginners and families as well as experienced skiers. The brand-new ski lifts and perfectly groomed slopes allow visitors the opportunity to avoid spending long hours in the queue. The local ski school offers courses in skiing and snowboarding, along with a fun park for older children. For toddlers and small children the professional "Bubo Kinderpark" kindergarten is on offer. The 4 km long natural toboggan run in the ski area of Watles is one of the most popular runs of its kind in the region.

Watles is also a great place for lovers of Nordic skiing. The Slingia Nordic Ski Center is a meeting point for national and international cross country ski athletes. International competitions take place at the 15 km circuit at Slingia. The Watles area also offers a wide range of excellent trails and challenging tracks for ski mountaineers and snowshoe hikers. Numerous trails lead up to the highest mountains and their peaks. Watles is also popular among ski mountaineers for its special ski mountaineering downhill run, which makes it a unique destination.
